How to use the Product Import Tool


This article will show you how to use the product import function inside of Zangerine. If you have questions preparing your file for import, please contact Zangerine Support for help.

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Click Imports.
  3. Select Products.

You will be redirected to the import tool. See image below:




  1. In the upper right of the import tool, Click the Download Template link.

An excel file will download with pre-populated headings. See image below:




Enter data into the fields for each product.

Any fields you do not fill will be left blank inside of Zangerine.

If you have questions about what is necessary, contact Zangerine Support.

  1. Save the file to your computer.
  2. Back in Zangerine, Click Browse.

Select the File you Saved.

  1. Note: On the Product import there is an option to Overwrite existing products IDs. Use this if you would like to replace the product IDs in Zangerine with those entered in the file you are uploading.
  2. Click Upload.
  3. An orange Result banner will show with a plus on the right, that you can click to expand. This will show you which imports were successful, and if there were any errors. See image below:
  4. If you see a red error message, check the text found after VALUES for those entries that have caused the error.
  5. If you try to import an existing item, there are two things that can happen:
