When tracking your inventory, it is important to know when to order additional stock. Setting up stock levels within Zangerine keeps you updated on when you need to place orders for specific product. This article will show you both how to set stock levels for products, and how to place orders from the Low Stock list.
To start, let’s look at setting up minimum stock levels.
- Open the product listing you want to set a stock level for.
- Click the Purchasing tab.
- In the minimum stock level field, enter the low stock inventory quantity amount.
- E.G. Once I have 5 of this product left, I need to place my next purchase order for more. See image below:
- Click Save and Continue.
Now that your product has stock levels established, let’s look at how to track when you need to order additional stock.
- Click Purchasing.
- Click Low Stock.
- Click Low Inventory.
- You will be redirected to the Low Inventory Products screen. See image below:
- This screen will populate products whose current inventory count has reached the minimum stock level you have previously set.
- Select the products you want to place an order for by Clicking the Check Box next to the product.
- Click Actions.
- Select either Create PO or Create PO (Multiple Vendors).
- If you select multiple vendors then an order will be created for each product separately that has a preferred vendor selected.
- If you select Create PO, then a single order will be created with all the products selected.
