How to Create Customer Groups


This article will describe how to create a new Customer Group. These Groups can be used to create coupons applicable to only certain customers, or tiered pricing for certain products that can be applied for specific customers. Customer groups will also allow you use of more reports within Zangerine.


  1. Click Customers.
  2. Click Customer Groups.
  3. You will be redirected to the Customer Groups page. See image below:




  1. Create a Title for the new group.
  2. Set the Customer Type.
  3. Select a Coupon to apply to the group.
  4. Add an internal Description.
  1. Click Submit.
  2. On the right side of the page, your new group will appear under the Customer Groups List.
  3. Tips and Tricks:
  1. Inside of a Customer Detail page, in the bottom left select a Customer group to assign them to and click Update.
  2. See the Set Tiered, Group, or Contract Pricing article for more information on how to use customer groups.
  3. You can click the customer group in the top right to edit it.
  4. Default cannot be edited.
