Out of Stock Behavior

Out of Stock Behavior

This article will go over how Zangerine handles inventory when it is out of stock and the various notifications you may receive.

  • You’ll notice that a product is out of stock inside the product listing’s Inventory tab under All Warehouses. See image below:

  • Zangerine will not stop you from creating a Sales Order for a product that is out of stock, but once you get to the picking module you will be presented with an out of stock message. See image below:

  • Inside a product listing under the Purchasing tab, you can set low stock alerts. See image below:

  • After setting these fields on your products, inside the Main menu purchasing tab, select Low Stock then Low Inventory. This will provide a list of items needing inventory restocked.

  • If you don’t check (Product edit page) Allow backorders, and you run out of inventory, it will prevent your customers from ordering that item online.
