This article will cover the Orders/Quotes tab under Configurations.
- Orders:
- Order Reminder Days: If you have a front-end website, this will remind customers to come back and finish check-out if they’ve left items in their cart.
- Decimal Points: This field sets the number of decimal places you want to show on pricing. An example of this is 4 points, showing 50.1234, or 2 points showing 50.12.
- Order ID Starts From: Set your starting ID number for orders inside Zangerine. This function allows you to clearly differentiate between orders created before using Zangerine and orders made within Zangerine.
- Note: Set this number higher than your last order in your previous software so as to make a clear distinction between them.
- Note: Once this number is set do not change it, as you could end up with duplicate order numbers.
- Order Return Days: If you have RMA’s setup on your website, this sets the amount of time your customers have to initiate a return.
- Default Order Status: Set the first Status given to new Sales Orders.
- Note: All orders still start out as “abandoned” but this pre-selects the status to save it to when creating an order.
- Send Email Confirmation: Enables an auto-email Order Acknowledgement email to be sent out when creating orders within Zangerine.
- Copy Additional Reps: Allows you to generate Sales Orders and copy all attached sales reps associated with the customer to it, instead of the default option of copying the first rep on it.
- Quotes:
- Expiration: Set how many days a quote is good for until the offer is no longer valid to your customer.
- This will disable the accept button from working within the email sent...
- Reminder: Set the number of days until a reminder email is sent to your customer about your offered quote.
- Quotes Starts From: Set your starting ID number for quotes inside Zangerine. This function allows you to clearly differentiate between quotes created before using Zangerine and quotes made inside Zangerine.
- Note: Set this number higher than your last quote so as to make a clear distinction between them.
- Note: Once this number is set do not change it, as you could end up with duplicate quote numbers.
- Orders Colored Tags/Flags:
- Customizable messages for the tags.
- Can be used as alternatives to statuses.
- Added inside an order.
- Appear on mobile picking devices in front of a Sales Order.
- Can filter to only see orders with certain tags on them.
- Order Statuses:
- You can enable or disable statuses you want to use on your orders.
- Note: Be careful not disable statuses that are currently in use on orders, or you will not be able to search for them.
- Take care that none of your automated processes set an order to a disabled status or the order will have appeared to “disappear”.
- Committed Quantity Order Statuses:
- This allows you to choose when the system will reserve stock for certain orders.
- Once an order is set to the pre-chosen statuses, the items in the order will become committed quantity, so other customers cannot also try to order them.
- Note: make sure to enable the statuses on Order Statuses that you want to also be marked as committed, or your inventory will never be marked as committed on orders.
