This report will show you all Sales Orders created for products under a specified category, in a set date range. The report will show the Order ID’s, Customer names, company names, current order statuses, Total order balance, and tax fees, any shipping fees, any discounts if applied, and the order invoice dates.
- Click Reports.
- Click Sales Reports.
- You will be redirected to the Managerial Accounting Reports screen.
- Click Sales by Category.
- You will be redirected to the report. See image below:
- In the top right, Click Advanced Filters.
- Going left to right do the following:
- Set a Date Range. This will populate data based upon invoice dates.
- Select the Order Statuses to populate the report.
- Select a Product Category.
- This step is critical. Otherwise you won’t see a noticeable difference between this report or other gross sales reports.
- Optional: Click the Search by Creation Date check box to populate data based upon when the sales orders were created, instead of their invoice dates.
- Click Filter.
- The report will populate in the Graphs and Quick Preview sections.
