Assign Suppliers To Products

To be effective, you need to know which vendors have which parts, and at what cost. Follows the steps below to assign a supplier to your products:

  1. Click Catalog.
  2. Click Products.
  3. Click the Product.
  4. Click the Purchasing tab.
  5. Click Add New Vendor.
  6. Click the Drop-down list, then click the vendor of choice. (Vendors can be added to this list in the Purchasing module.)
  7. Type the Vendor Part Number.
  8. Type the Cost.
  9. You can repeat steps 5-8 as needed for each vendor.
  10. Click Save and Continue.
NOTE: PO's generated through low stock inventory lists will always use the first Vendor, regardless of how many have been entered with this product.
